Engineering Theme Camp

Engineers don’t sit back and watch – they make things happen. Engineers can find themselves doing anything from building new bridges to developing electrical sockets for refugee camps; working on special effects for blockbuster movies or testing aircraft and aerospace products.

The morning’s challenge is to build 2 incredible edible structure – Sandwich and Cookie house. Our lil engineers-in-training will use ingredients available to make, bake and cook, before the building and assembly work can take place.

In the afternoon, using WeDo 2.0 from LEGO® Education, apply engineering concept by building a robotic arm that can grab, lift and place objects. Create your own pull robot to find out if you have the most powerful machine in a tug-of-war challenge!

Lego Wedo 2.0 Robotics Building & Coding of 2 Robots

Lesson Details
Morning (10 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.)

• Make a small loaf of bread from scratch
• Assemble a sandwich with the ingredients provided
•  Learn to cut out cookie dough using a template
• Assemble a cookie house & decorate

Lunch (12.30 p.m. – 2.00 p.m.)

Afternoon (2.00 – 5.00 p.m.)

ROBOTICS WORKSHOP

• In this learn though play workshop, participants will be introduced to the world of robots using WeDo 2.0 from LEGO® Education.
• With guided instructions, sensors and simple visual programming, participants will get to develop their problem solving and computational skills through building, coding and bringing robots to life.
• Build a robotic arm that can grab, lift and place objects. Create your own pull robot to find out if you have the most powerful machine in a tug-of-war challenge!

Note: WeDo 2.0 LEGO® Education set and tablet will be provided to participant for use during the workshop. 
Workshop is suitable for beginner with no prior experience.

1. EARLY BIRD Price is ONLY APPLICABLE for Full Day Program. Book before 30 November 2019.
2. A minimum of 6 pax is required for PM Robotics session. In the event the minimum pax is not met, an alternative will be presented 1 week before lesson commencement to participants.

Note: This is a drop-off day camp program and is suitable for 5 years old (as of Year 2019) and above to participate.
