One of the core cuisines of Singapore, join us in a fun session learning about chinese cuisine and culture

In the morning, learn to make Fried Sauce Noodle (炸醬面), a classic Northen China dish, and Spring Roll (春卷), a popular dish not only in China, but also in Southeast Asia. For dessert, we will make a refreshing Osmanthus Jelly to complete our course.

In the afternoon, we will focus on making life-like dim sum clay art, coupled with watercolour painting to achieve a beautiful canvas artwork!

Lesson Details

CHINESE CUISINE WORKSHOP (9.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.):

Skills Covered:

  • Learn to make quick and easy Osmanthus jelly from scratch
  • Learn to use knife safely to cut vegetables 
  • Learn to wrap spring rolls with filling
  • Make minced chicken noodles from scratch

 Bring home:

  • 2 x fried spring rolls
  • 1 x portion of minced chicken noodle
  • 4 x Osmanthus jelly

Lunch (12.30 p.m. – 2.00 p.m.)
* only applicable for participants who signed up the full day session. Little Cookhouse will provide minding service for the child. Lunch will be the meals they’ve prepared in the morning cuisine workshop

DIM SUM ART WORKSHOP (2.00 – 5.00 p.m.)

Skills Covered:

  • Learn watercolour basics on layering wash over dry wash, allowing pigments to mix wet into wet, and mixing hues on the palette.
  • Learn to work with light clay, techniques on shaping and moulding, and applying colour

Bring home:

  • 1 x A4 size framed watercolour painting with light clay art
